Vaxxas

Branding, webdesign, animation

Client Overview

Vaxxas, an Australia-based biotech, is a vaccine-oriented biotech company that is commercializing a novel "needle-free" vaccination technology.

My Role in the Project

My role in this rebrand was that of art direction and graphic design. I worked directly for The Yates Network, a strategic communications and public relations group for biotech companies, and SAC Designs, an animation and design agency.

Rethinking What’s Possible With Vaccines

Vaxxas first came to The Yates Network with only a logo and a one-page contact form website. We explored a variety of bold and patient-focused designs to go with the tagline, written by the talented copywriters at Yates, “rethinking what’s possible with vaccines”. We wanted to explore ways to focus on their patient impact and revolutionary vaccination technology.

The Life of Vaxxas

Their visual brand focuses on the halftone pattern inspired by the Vaxxas logo and vaccination technology which a vaccine patch that is made up of an array of micro-needles that form a grid of points. The halftone pattern perfectly represents their technology in an abstract and inviting form. It is fun and playful, exuding the same positive energy that the Vaxxas team has in their persuit for a happy needle-free future.

Scientific Animation

We brought their static micrographs to life for their website and corporate deck. With the amazing resources provided by the science team, we animated the creation process of the vaccine patch. As lead designer, I was involved in storyboarding, design, and animation.

This incredible Australian team was incredibly happy with their final website and brand and began implementing their brand into the building's interior design.
